Vulnerable

ShaneMcFadden

Am I vulnerable?
Am I honorable?
Open and broken?
Or am I simply outspoken?
Neither or,
What shall I fight for?
So many questions, all unanswered
Spreading deeply and deadly like a cancer
Too soft and gentle to be let in
Aloft and rent a heart to set in
Let it sink in,
Ring in the new years
And new tears
Down the cheek,
Week after week
It's okay,
Just for today
And tomorrow
No more dead left sorrow
For your heart, I may borrow
Never steal, always return
Inside of Hell to burn
Ever that?
No, never that
It's alright to be open
Normal to be broken
Nowadays, who isn't?
And who is?
To be vulnerable is honorable
To be on or able to
If you shut out,
You will never win
How can you love someone
If you never let them in?
