Being Forgotten

Patricia Ryan

Being forgotten

Being forgotten is probably one of the worst feelings anyone can ever feel.

You could be in a room of people yet feel so alone,

Whether you called them friends or referred to them as home.

You say to yourself its no worth in crying,

And try to play along with all of their lying.

When times get tough, the tough get tougher.

But what if you're weak and the rough gets rougher?

What if you can't convince yourself of their lies and,

Can't make yourself believe that you're actually “fine”?

Being forgotten by someone you'd never forget

Is like taking the risk you knew you'd regret.

Being forgotten
