Twists And Turns

poetboy123

Grasping for the words as they spill through my hands

Blown past the horizon, journeying towards unknown lands

Screaming in the wind for them to return, they do not

Shambling forward, now blind to this meaning I’ve sought

Scrambling for the words to dance into place and achieve harmony

Struggling to bring them to life and align together as a symphony

Trying to orchestrate this mess in my mind to come out as ink

Needing the music to pick apart the discord in my head filled with broken links

Wanting to put them on this page not for you to see, but to feel

Extracting something more than what is shown, something real

Breathing them in only for them to be released out of my reach

Falling away into the depths, tried to learn what none can teach

Drowning now in this chasm of frustration all stemming from inside

The only thing I treasured fades away, leaving me nowhere to hide

Mouth dry where a river of words should be flowing out from my heart

Left in a desert, surrounded by broken words, all for me to pick apart

I can identify with these struggles all too well. I have been on the same search and yet the well was too dry to be of any use.

Dry too often, thanks for the comment LG.

What I get from reading this, is; you seem to have a lot on your mind, but don't really know the exact words to use to express what is on your mind or how you are feeling at the moment. If I am right, then I can relate. Having so much on your mind, but not being able to use the right words to express yourself in ways that other people will understand can seem frustrating. You feel alone at times.

You've said it better than I ever could, thank you for commenting.

You are very welcome my friend! When ever you feel alone; don't be confused or afraid. Use that time of solitude for self growth. Use your mind and talk with yourself; get to know yourself a little, and ask the universe questions. Meditate and envision your purpose in life. Get in tune with your thoughts, emotions and feeling. Then you'll surely know what to say and how to say it.
