Drowned In Waters Grey.

kevin browne

Torched by beauty falls prey
Drowned in waters grey
Ripples ripple for no reason
Where there often enough is another one
Echoing voices swallow
Splash cash tomorrow
Where the Roman Baths were made
Pay homage to a brief history of time
It's a tasting for great wine
Everyman has recalled, where to though who knows?
Shimmering stones with remnants glistening
Bones etched on a mind
And if we gather up ideas who play truant
And honesty then brings it back home
Rivers run so eloquently when speaking wisdom
Fair game to all who have remained the same
Don't cry in shame
If doors walk out on the opportunity of knowing it was a Mistake, make no fun of it and be careful not to take.
When nights collapse into asking
Whoever it was that question.

Kevin, you got me a little bit on this one. The lines are your usual good, but I cannot find the glue that holds them together. Can you help me out?

I guess I can. I am a confused poet who has attempted to knit three separate poems together in a hurry and without any thought. also, I have been thrusting my flexibilities upon a combination of words and rhymes which I very rarely use. so it's a testing time too.

Thanks Kevin, now I have something to go on when reading it again.

Nice writing Kevin. I see you are changing a bit. Shorter and a different rhythm. Slower too. Still I don't get too much of it. Will try to read again later.
