Whispering a sullen silence, strangling the swift light

Left to watch the future float along with the drifting smoke

These phantoms may grab me, but the passion seized me

Rising past their darkness, broken promises at their feet

Foregoing all doubt, tomorrow is all I can hope for

Living fast, never last, racing past, this truth I’ll cast

Waters rising above my head, storms blowing in

Latching onto my dreams, floating up and only up

Never giving in, staying driven, every moment livin’

Shine the flashlight, let it pierce into the shallow darkness

Revealing the unknown that I had never known

The cruelest, darkest mysteries, secrets I’d never seen

All hidden somewhere within me, within this flaming heart
