Fun While It Lasted

simplybeautiful

Well that was fun while it lasted,

I mean that too.

Just remember that this wasn't just me this time,

it was you too.

I agreed with a genuine smile, and felt relief wash over me.

I won't miss your sarcasm or how you made fun of my laugh

I won't miss you being my boyfriend at all actually.

You wanna be friends, that's what I'll do.

So when you miss the way I complimented you

and always laughed at your jokes,

When you miss me always texting you and wanting to hang out

You'll realize that you messed up and I moved on before you realized

the words "just friends" slipped off your lips.
