Ode to Father

yuviannam8232

My Father, he is like most fathers,

The ones that leaves the mothers,

Not even making time to love their daughters,

or not even protecting them from monsters.

My father never cared,

He was also never there.

I've always wanted him in my life,

But he was always with his new wife.

I gave him so many chances,

Even when our family was in reduce circumstances.

He never kept his promises,

He always did the opposite.

I've always waited for a call,

But they were always small.

I used to be all excited,

But he was never there to be sighted.

He would always say he was on his way,

But then here comes "another day".
