Park Bench

zkalu96

Frozen in time while the world passes by
I stare in awe of what once was and what used to be.
The sunny days and endless nights,
The long conversation filled with laughter,
all the shit that ensued after,
The good the bad and the ugly,
Chasing stars, and numbing pain
Nothing to lose nothing to gain,
The never ending battle we fought
To be sane,
Crashing into what felt like waves
Durning the slow descent
into our graves,
Slaves to summertime
Trying to push backwards
As this wheel begins to spin faster
Falling apart into something new,
Gone away far from what we're going through
Needle in the arm, not worried of the harm,
The people who will be left behind,
What was once fun and games
Is now a park bench erected in your name
