Arms open wide

squeakyfluff

How selfish of me,
to believe that I'm
the only one you see.
Trying to keep you close,
but I want you to be free.
Hoping you decide,
I'm where you want to be.

The sound of rain,
soothes my pain.
Helps me sleep,
and keeps me sane.

Is this where i learn?
after all this time.
There's nothing I can do,
to make you mine.
But don't you worry,
I'll be fine.

The sound of rain,
has come again.
But it's not the same,
with drips of pain.

Is this where I learn?
with my arms open wide.
I'll never stop the rain,
unless you change the tide.
So i'll wait right here,
with nothing to hide,
arms open wide.
For you to choose me,
and choose me with pride.
