No longer dining.

deen

Our table was a mazie yellow

On the surface there was a cake which held my every thought

You could smell the cleanliness of the air

You could hear his presence

His essence was that of a king

The way his oxfords hit the ground wasn't all that but a settle tap

Though in my mind it was much more significant

His steps were soft but enough to make the table quiver

When we were finally together our eyes were fixed on each others

He made it clear to me he admired my modesty

He glanced at the cake then back at me at me

He smirked then whispered "does it not hurt to pretend"

At that moment without notice, he vanished

The table was shattered

The cake left unblemished
