Consumed
by the deep gray
of that gaze
I am sucked into
the raging swell of emotion
you show but never speak
Waves thrusting me
Under,
under,
under,
light dying,
frigid glaciation
paralyzing my every cell
the suffocating waters
ruthless
I am fighting you
as a snowflake
would fight the sea:
with no hope
of ever seeing
another tomorrow.

Nicole, I am awed by your writing. Beautiful language, great style, good flow.
Thank you very much
