This is my morning routine;
wake up, and say good morning to my king
cause only my room I rule, but to him I am a queen.
I rush into the bathroom, and you know, I do my thing.
Not so often do I shower in the morning
but I'll do it when I want.
When no one else is home, naked will I flaunt.
I floss my teeth until my gums bleed,
yes, I have deficiencies,
but my teeth need to look pretty.
They're wonky and crooked these
issues they do create, but
do you remember when your mother said,
"A smile can be great."
I munch on my breakfast til full,
or sip some coffee, til I'm not dull.
In the cold weather, I like to stay cozy
so fluffy socks, cover my toesies.
I scuffle up stairs, back to my layer
where things I do run, cause I am a slayer.
A slayer at school, from the crack of nine thirty
unless the night before I stayed up, well, too early.
I sit here all day in my coop,
where I can read the daily scoop.
Emails to teachers are daily,
I listen to my friends' love stories gay-ly.
Do I smell spaghetti sauce? Bay leaves.
My brother and dad cook below me,
so I can stay fed and bowlby.
The connections I maintain are holy.
These days go on like pulleys.

Sounds like the perfect morning to me, Adrianna! I can even tell that you are spoiled! 🙂
A very nicely written, light account of the beginning of the day. With a nice touch of humor as well.
I like it.
I agree! Some days, I have to admit, I don't appreciate them as much as I should.
Thank you! 🙂
