Just a Relationship

Karsten Turrey

We used to be such good friends
Closer than any others
But that all came to an end
The day you found another

I didn't want to be a bother
You left me standing alone
I was a fire and you were the water
I have a house, now no longer a home

You had warmed my insides then returned them to stone
Rose red heart strings shattered apart
I felt the insanity inside my bones
The balloon we loved in you popped with a dart

I miss you so truly I do
But for the times we shared and the laughter in the air I love and thank you
