The waters

SquareGirl

The shallow water I did not fear
But it's gotten deeper over the years
I look all about, there's no land to be found
It's up to my neck I fear I may drown
The water so cold my limbs have gone numb
The ice is inside down to the bone
I try to swim like I have before
But I feel my body no more
Slowly I sink into the sea
Till I find I'm no longer me
