The wind

daisychain

The wind howled, shrieked, whistled and roared

as I lay in my bed

The windows rattled, shook and gasped at the wind's ferocity

The cat cowered, huddled on the bedcovers

frightened as a mouse

And in the all-encompassing darkness

we succumbed to the storm and waited.
