travelling

draculazy

You took
Piccadilly by storm
In your burgundy dress.
Your Nordic bred smile
Could make anyone
Fall.
You knock people
Down
Like bowling pins.
They study your roots;
The way brown leaks
Into blue
And the fading of
Joensuu
Into Helsinki.
What did you lose
In the move?
What draws you
To the city?

Before,
We were lost in
Translation,
But now
You are closer
To being
Something I can
Understand.
I will speak
Slowly.
I will
Break off
Words
For you to bite
And you
Can spit them
Into
My drink.
