Sometimes I feel like we might make it
Then days come and we go back ten steps
Words come out like daggers
Scars on scars, we start loving each other less

Used to be where I couldn’t wait to see you
Anxious on the time in between
Now it’s those moments I miss the most
Little things...we forget how much love means

Why do we wage our hearts in war?
Battle out two souls that used to flare

Sending two souls up in flames
