Day by day,
Living without
Your wide grin
And infectious giggle
Somehow
Became easier.
In the beginning
It was like placing
A band aid on a bullet hole
Wanting it to just magically heal.
Pretending we never happened
Shattered me even more.
So steadily, I glued
The fragments of myself
Back together.
Fitting them where they belonged
Before the hurricane
Of you.
As the time passed by,
I became whole again.
And the broken me
Was part of a distant memory.
I suppose you developed into
Yet another deep scar
In my hopeful heart.

I'm sorry.
This is entirely my poetic imagination :), but thank you anyway my friend!
There is, I believe, a little bit of this heartache in all of us at one time or another sky. Very well written. ; )
Thank you AP, I completely agree 🙂
