Candlewitch

Idle Blue

Idle Blue

in that place

of seclusion

where the air

becomes thin and tight

I have grown pale

in the waiting

I have dreamt you

I have taken you

deeply in

penetrating my lungs

spackling my spirit

with all the textures

of your soul

you kindle my senses

with utter anticipation

and still

with all the silence

of my reaching

I am pale in the wanting...

Oh I love this! So sensual but subtly so. I have to say this is one of my favorites of yours! "I am pale in the wanting..." Great way to describe the need. Great job!

thank you, Christina! this is what my husband inspires in me. I can't hardly wait for him to come home from work every work day....and the weekends are far too short 🙁 thank you for favoriting this poem!

Discreetly personal and yet so tenderly romantic - loved every line Cat.

Cat, you amaze me. Your range of writing styles and subjects is so vast! You put this poem beside one by Eddie and you know what I am talking about. You are one heck of a writer!

              dear Fred,

thank you so much for the compliment! eddy styx writes all my anger, negative thoughts and is full of pain. instead of taking this out on people, or acting out, "I put my Rage On The Page!" it is very therapeutic! you made my day!!!

              *hugs, Cat
              ever, eddy
