Mixed up in madness

Middlearth

I’m living a dream but not one I aspired to

My head’s in a cloud but my feet are weighed down

In my moments of clarity I berate my heart with my head

’Look how much you have’ I shout but my heart is deaf

The sadness in others rings out to the darkness in me

Which makes it so easy to dive deeper and stop trying to swim.

‘Surround yourself with positivity and people who will make you strong’

So I’ve been doing everyone a favour by hiding all along.
