Human Responsibility

poetboy123

Forget your excuses, they won’t get you anywhere

Leave your wallet behind, some costs it cannot bear

Like hamsters, our lives seem to run in confined circles

Your pocket of existence is just that, the human race is universal

Chaotic and messy, politics, affecting everyone

Turning away ignorance means that you’ve run

Accept the challenge before you mold it once more

When facing an iron wall, create a steel door

Swallow down the knowledge, the truth, no matter how sour it may be

Though we may be caged, to realize our steel chains, is the first step to be free

Truly comprehend the struggles around the world, hurting innocents like you and me

To know of their hardship, to speak out against it, to take to the streets, is a human responsibility
