I WAS...

JADED

You told me who I was
When I was still searching ,
You overshadowed my innocence
The darkness started lurking .
My ray of light began to narrow down
Your insults and accusations became the only sound .
I was happy, I was optimistic
I explored for my true existence .
Yet You created a path that you yourself couldn’t follow
You lost me and blinded me from my tomorrow.
I once loved to laugh, I knew how to smile ,
I was fearless and so powerful, yet that only lasted a little while.
You had to stunt my growth , and pollute my air,
All I wanted was to breathe , to live my life without a care!
Father of mine what did you create
You took my hand and let me go , you suffocated me with nothing but hate.
Can I go back in time when you had all the power
When I was just a child when you were my hero every minute , every hour.
