In The Moment Before Goodbye

The Moment Before Goodbye

Did I see the glisten of a tear in your eye,
As I whispered to myself “please don’t cry”
But saline formed into raindrops and fell from the sky
Upon your skin and down my face
Creating a sea of nothing an empty space
Leaving my soul so cold and alone in this place
It was then I felt I would truly die

In The Moment Before Goodbye

Its only love that gives us the strength to live
When a heart is pierced, broken and bleeding with nothing more to give
What once was beautiful can quickly become a lie
As you gasp for a breath

In The Moment Before Goodbye
