Those Darn Hogs
Every dusk you can hear their squeal
As they fuss back and forth
Their location they reveal
As they prepare to go forth
They often uproot an open pasture
And do much damage quick
They are as fast as a tractor
In the soil so soft and rich
The hogs populate every place
And reproduce way too fast
There are found night and day
In any habitat
There is an open season on them
To reduce the damage they make
Some hunt with nasty dogs
Others trap them and are paid
The hogs success is a fact of life
With their range expanded wide
Where they go now no one knows
But no more can they hide
It is no rare sight anymore
To see a litter of them
Some applaud their success
With others most chagrinned
