Truth of the Lonely

Renold Jolves

Broken paths

Narrow lanes

Horrid wrath

Broken face

Open up my closet cold

I wish for this everyday

That I am told

“You have been blessed in every way”

Now once again

Im left alone

Left in sin

Sin made of stone

She told me once

Shame on me

Told me I am but a dunce

Yet how, when I loved her free

She left, She crushed, and mostly..

Destroyed me

  • Comment from author about the poem: This unlike my other poems in a simple and to the point letter to myself. It's a reminder of what I just went through with my latest relationship and want nothing but to do better. I am willingly putting my heart on my sleeves and giving a since of yearning for love. While, at this point, my heart is shattered. It may seem depressing, but this is used to remind me to keep forward and avoid these feelings.
