Devotion

Annabella Wye

Praying that what they say is true,

One day my world won't revolve around you,

Dark times are fueled by happy memories,

And make you forget the skies, birds and the trees,

But it's so hard to have faith in love,

Especially when you have it and it isn't enough,

My life is in the hands of a rock'n'roll band,

And I can't see if I'll crash or if I'll land,

Your soul was mine but now it's gone,

No doubt you'll inspire every song,

That I have written, you are my muse,

'cause you burnt my heart and broke the fuse,

It only takes a little nudge to fall,

That's what it was and I want it all,

I saw everything before I thought it through,

But now I must forget and look for something new.
