Color Doesn't Matter

PoeticPsycho

Racism makes me mad

These cats snatched our dignity we used to have

They say color doesn't matter but I think it's a lie. Would Rodney King have been beat up if he were white?

MLK got shot one day another hatred crime

Prison statistics are colored with bunkbeds full of drug heads

Ghettos, Projects, and reservations is where they find slaves for the prison population

So does color matter if it's mostly Red and Black? That is why racism makes me mad

But to me color doesn't matter I love you all the same, because love is the medicine that inspires hearts to change

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is a poem I wrote a couple of years back about the color of our skin. As a kid I always wondered why my people have been treated unfairly throughout history. I wrote this and I would like for people to share their opinion

I love you too and I love your reflection you give in showing the interest for making it more of a better world with the racist wars taking place in every corner of the planet. I don't care what colour anyone's skin is. i look for heart, mind and soul in a person. any life is a gift from God and we must learn how to care for each and every one of those lives. I like your work here, my friend.
