Euphoria of the Heart

Accidental Poet

Euphoria of the Heart

I know it makes no sense

How this one sided love lives

But there’s a wealth of happiness

That loving you gives

I always knew love between us

Was not a two way street

But still for another woman

I’ve never known love so sweet

It was always you Sharon

Who pulled on my heart so strong

In your eyes, smile and name

I heard my heart’s true love song

For no one else

Touched me like you do

No comparison on Earth

No one can take the place of you

I can’t imagine my life

Without you in my thoughts

Following my heart

To me you unknowingly taught

Love is many things to many people

For me, real love has always been about you

Euphoria of the heart

Contentment of the soul too

the connection towards your lady shows a human spirit that has to be noticed and admired. it's one of life's greatest gifts. there will be a reflection of ease in loving the person who so dearly loves you too. a very romantic poem, AP.

Absolutely beautiful AP! You are lucky to have known love. It just is an amazing write.

Thank you Christina, My writing reflects an amazing girl, now she'd be same as me, about 61 years old. But I look back on the four years she was here with the most loving memories. It's hard to describe how blessed I feel, but in my poetry for her I have tried to do just that. Thanks for reading.

The givingness found in these lines of a one-way love is simply amazing - a gem of a message in this read.

Thank you Fay. I've been trying to convey the feelings of love for this girl/woman that I've been in love with since the age of ten years old. But as successful as you all might think I've accomplished that goal, to me it still feels like I've barely scratched the surface. She just touched me that deep inside that it's like an endless abyss. Thanks for reading Fay. I do appreciate your words of praise.

                      AP,
True!! Love is many things to many people!
                      Yours is the most meaningful
                      and purest of all!
To love someone as deeply and fervently as you do, is rare and divine!
Your love for Sharon is beautifully expressed and felt throughout the poem, but especially in the words...
                      “Euphoria of the heart
                      Contentment of the soul.”
                      My favorite line!

                      John Denver song...nice touch!
