Bleeding

scarlowe

Here I am Bleeding and lost in the moment,

I wander in vain just to find a way to get us back to yesterday.

We drew our lines,  now all that's left here are so many questions.

It’s hard to imagine how memories have become the enemy.

We drown in the waves of emotion, straining to make it back to the shore.

Doesn’t  this make us feel better...

To deny we’re Bleeding at all and pretend like nothing is wrong,

As we burn it to the ground, embers dancing to the sound of our broken song.

We Reminisce and share a kiss on a crystal blue morning

Paging through pictures of dreams we shared

’til I can almost feel us there...

In the light, we see falling from grace paralyzed us.

So whisper a prayer to wash away all the words we never meant to say.

We drown in the waves of emotion, straining to make it back to the shore.

Doesn’t  this make us feel better..

To deny We’re Bleeding at all and pretend like nothing is wrong .

As we burn it to the ground, embers dancing to the sound of our broken song.

We deny we’re Bleeding away and pretend there's nothing to save

And we smile and go along while dancing to the sound of our broken song.

Then the storm rages in without warning. Hearts adrift in a deluge of lies.

So we hold on and pray for the morning, then when rescue arrives...

...we Deny We’re bleeding at all and pretend like nothing is wrong .

As we burn it to the ground, embers dancing to the sound of our broken song.
