Angel dust curing, life burning
Down a beauty's curious way
With a glamour lasting forever
Down a stunning day
Heartbeats pumping, life loving
Down old lovers lane
With a moment lasting forever
Down a life's refrain
Children play away, let em stay
Down infancy's innocent cries
With a tantrum lasting forever
Down a mother's why's
Rivers overflow, that we know
Down over Niagra falls
With a water never ebbing
Down a where it stalls
Father control, I don't know
Down where life began
With a hurt lasting forever
Down a because I ran
Growing quick, in the nick
Down where cell blocks home
With a sentence lasting forever
Down a prison life has shown
Sunsets hot, holiday pot
Down where sands are glowing
With a beach lasting forever
Down a place of going
Bet a horse, but of course
Down where money scatters
With a hurdle lasting forever
Down with a load of flutters
Living it up, jewellery shop
Down where taste was good
With a diamond lasting forever
Down a robbery in the hood
Stage the fright, overnight
Down where ghosts can whisper
With a spirit lasting forever
Down a black cat's whisker
Come on home, your not alone
Down where you can stay
With parents praying tears
Up where angels play.

Love this!!
Thank you, that's very kind of you to say x
Kevin, the rhyming is exquisite! Love that the first line in each stanza rhymes within (is there a name for that?). This excellent poem must have taken a long time to write. Great craftsmanship.
it's called 'Assonance' I think, Fred Peyer, I'm not a lover of taking time in writing poetry. this took just 15 minutes, maybe 20 and that's the way they come out best for me. when I stall I splutter and I tend to mess things up. thank you for your really nice comment too.
A rhyme which words sad between well written lines yet angel dust curing a life-time of hurting - hope I read it correctly Kevin as it is such a powerful poem - thank you for sharing it
you read it right, Fay Slimm, and thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it.
