The 91%


Minds blank as a piece of paper

but colorful as a box of crayons.

Fingers readily to shoot

but not to write a college entrance exam

Are we a product of our environment?

The 91%

Who does not hold a degree

The 43%

out of the 2.3 million in jail; are African American

Hard work and reward

needs to be implemented

to shift these numbers

before more lives are ruined
