Heartache Has a Name

Sandra

I’m sinking
Drowning in what Was
I’m clinging
To an improbable dream
I’m hoping
For your heart to beat with mine
But undeniably
I am sinking

Sandra, I do like your poem. Even though it is sad, it is so well written, expressing the whole gamut of emotions created by a broken love in just a few short sentences.
And btw, since I live on an island, I think I do have a few life rings around somewhere, could try to throw you one! 🙂
