Misery's Peasant

Felicityjones

I can feel my heart bend,
the water is starting to rise.
My world is coming to an end,
watch my anxiety reprise.
There is no exit,
no sign of coming down.
I am nothing but misery's peasant,
I think I'm going to drown.
Can you hear the hopelessness?
Darkness is all around.
I sit here dead and motionless,
unable to emit a sound.
Someone call the hospital,
something bad might happen.
Sign me up for committal,
I fear my line will flatten.
