I Want To Become A Star

Orialis M. Pena

I want to become a star.

No, not a Pop Star,
nor a Rock Star,
nor a Movie Star,
nor a Starfish,
nor anything Earth-related.

I want to be one of those stars
that don't twinkle when you see them
from outside of a planet's atmosphere.

I want to be a burning rock in outer space.

I want to be one of those
things you make wishes to.

I want to be a light to your darkness.

I want to guide you through the night
when you find yourself lost in its vastness.

I want to be there for you when you look at
the sky, even if you don't see me.

I want to become a Supernova so I can destroy
everything and anything that ever
dared to hurt you and make you
shed tears of sadness.

I want to become a black hole so that I can
swallow up all your sorrows and pains.

I want to become a star so that way I can look
over you and grant your wishes
from far above.

Orialis, this is a very well written, beautiful love poem. Very imaginative with great metaphors.
Keep on writing, you are good!
