The heat of the day took me away, so I left the house and all the dreary
I sat on a patio where my mind can wander
No longer do I wait for the mind to weary
But pursue more comfort in the winds and ponder

Miss you being around , very sweet little poem Leya , hope you do some more writing soon
Thanks WL I appreciate you saying that! I'm so glad to have been missed. I will try and post more often! Glad to see you writing often still!
Welcome back, Leya! Glad to hear (read) from you again. You are so right, sitting on my lanai, watching the sunset, listening to the sounds of nature....there is nothing better to sooth the mind.
I totally agree with you F.P. I enjoy taking deep breaths on top of a hillside now and then.... Nature has a healing power; no matter what people say!!
Such a great rhythm. I like the way it's structured too. Adding the words with more syllables at the end of the lines gives it a sort of undulating flow.
Thanks Alex! I am glad you think so. It was just one of those quick-thought poems. I am glad you like the flow.
Yes there is comfort in hearing the wind whispering secrets to your ears. Enjoyed your poem.
