Depths of my Despair

Discreation

Sinking into a bottomless sea

My voice gets caught in the underneath

Something biting is pulling me down

No punch to the nose can stop this now

I tried so hard to fight

But all that ended up happening

Was me falling in deep

Struggling to breath

Loosing all feeling in my feet

If this is how it is to end

Then alas I will be at peace

Labeled as another soul lost at sea

Perhaps they'll send the Calvary

Or U.s Navy to come and save me

They'll find me drifting and reassure me

But they didn't my soul has drifted nowhere near

My body still sinks to God knows where

  • Comment from author about the poem: "Just breathe" is a thing i hear a lot when i am nervous or flustered. But it\\\'s a little harder to do when you are literally drowning in a symbolic ocean in a place you just are familiar.
