Suicidle

darknessrises

He lies in his bed
With suicide thoughts on his head
He wants to die
But he has to keep it concealed
He doesn't know why
He just lies in his bed
Hoping to die
Trying not to cry
The knife is sharp
The night is dark
He asks god why
He takes the knife
And he pulls it across his wrist
His parents hear him scream
They rush in and see the knife
They rush over to him hoping it wasn't his life
Tonight is where he finally ended all the pain
His life has been slayed
His parents ask god why
But god isn't listing
Mom sits on the bed and cries
She hopes it was a dream
She blames her self and the world that is mean
Big sister walks in
Dads drinking gin
Sister cries
She too asks why
Mom picks up the knife
She too ended her life
Dad and daughter all alone
They hold each other in there arms
They call 911 and ask them why
As they both sit there and cry
Dad lies in bed
Wanting to die
He grabs the gun and shoots himself
Sister gets shot and cries
Neighbors call the cops
And find them both dead

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about what depression does to a kid and how far everything can go and how it is to show that bulling can lead to extreme pain. I have lost friends because of depression, most of the suicides around the world are from kids who were being picked on and they wanted out so bad they killed them self. This poem is showing the intensity of suicide and why we need to raise attention to this and help prevent all these suicides to happen. Imagine this happing in your town what would you say what would you do. We need to end bulling and be a better world to lessen the deaths from suicide because you never know this could actual happen to a family.

Wow. That is terrible. Unfortunately, it's real. Happens damn near everyday. I've been a victim of bullying, but the best revenge, is showing it has no affect on you. Great write.
