Encapturing Sadness

Bay

I'll tell you a story

one as old as time,

Of a young little girl

who couldn't wait to die.

She woke up every morning

and brushed her shiny teeth

But no one knew her pain

for she kept it hidden deep.

She hated every day

and almost everyone

until a boy named Jay

claimed her as his own.

He loved her very much

and she knew he was true

"Then why," she thought,

"am I always blue?"

She acted like she was happy

she laughed like she didn't care

But deep down inside,

the feelings were still there.

Every "I love you" seemed a little more hollow

He knew her heart was filled with sorrow

Pretty soon it was all too much

so many things went wrong

Jay couldn't keep up

She was dead

as she wished,

She could've been brave,

but now, she's missed.
