Candlewitch

Bliss...

Bliss

most of all, I miss our mingled laughter...

traveling the telephone lines,

banishing the many miles

of the abyss of distance between us,

your heart and mine.

your envisioned smile

took me to an elevated state of bliss...

I used to travel a lot although only a few days at a time depending on the trial - never easy being away from loved ones but like you we kept in contact all the time.

    • Candlewitch

yes, Michael, the contact is the most important thing....keeping love alive!

I , at one point in my business career, when we had two young children, had to be gone all week every week. Looking back, that is one of my very few regrets, missing all of that precious time with family during the formative years of the kids. The marriage failed eventually. The kids turned out spectacularly, I must say.
Your fine poem is a tribute to the relationship you two share, Cat, and I am so very happy for you!

          dear Louis,

I am so very sorry that the relationship failed. it is really hard when you have to keep it alive through long distance. my heart goes out to you. at least you have those wonderful children and they have you!

          *huge hugs, Cat
