Read Between The Lines

nina.hayes

Society has been constricted to such uneducated slang. I try to send subliminal messages through my eyes because my mouth can not fathom such unlawful affiliation of words but nobody seems to hear what my ears have to say. I am color blind in a world painted with neon personalities as if it were a mural, every stroke diversifying each individual as their own specified creation. I know the whole slur thing is popular but what happened to true intimacy through connection of intellectual conversation. What happened to a piece of paper being a loyal unbiased bestfriend that you could share the secrets that lie in an epitome of darkness with in a manner that conjugated genuine discipline and endless prosperity of creativity. Now it’s symbolized as something to be petrified of, every student knows it’s a “blank canvas” for a restricted imagination because walking into school you are told how to sit, where to sit, and how to think but you need to know how to freely write a 6 paragraph essay starting with a beginning, middle, and end, you have 1 hour to do it inside of what feels like an enclosed box infiltrated with conspicuous lies accompanied by a system that isn’t far from telling you that you are stupid because you don’t get it, along side possible convicted felons we call teachers.. Oh and don’t forget to think outside box when writing...
how in the hell am I expected to do that when I’m trapped in one.
