The Championship Game
It was a game I’ll never forget
And we cheered all the runs they scored
The lead changed hands several times
And we were never bored
The starting pitchers went several innings
Though the batters got their hits
The game was tied several times
With each team a chance to win
The runners stole several bases
That put players in position
The manager signaled a hit-and-run
And the batter succeeded the mission
There were other hits for extra bases
Including a home run or two
Seeing the ball go high and long
Made the locals hiss and boo
The game went into the 10th inning
Where it finally ended
And I happily went to bed
Thankful my team could win it
We were all great champions
And the city celebrated
Each citizen felt the wonderful win
With many inebriated
Some thought of us as a dynasty
And the best of all time
Most had much less to say
With the current title just fine

Congratulations on your teams win WC. They played and beat my Red Sox, and the better team won there too. But both teams were winners just to be there in the World Series.
YEAH HOUSTON ASTROS!
Thanks AP! I have to admit, I wasn't really an Astros fan until they got to the Series. I feel so ashamed!
Nothing to be ashamed of WC. Not everyone can have their home team in the World Series, so you gotta root for one or the other. Houston has been through a lot this year, so a World Series win is just the ticket to boost their spirits.
A fine write wc.
Thanks Orchidee.
