The day you decided to leave,
You took a piece of me with you
That I thought I would never have
Returned.
The rain poured from the darkening skies
More after that day,
And without you there was no
Sunshine to create a
Rainbow.
But yesterday, I saw a different kind of
Rain.
It glistened with hope.
So I swung the door open
And began to dance in it.
When the droplets were
Running
down my face,
I realised you were welcome
To keep that piece of me.
I don't need it anymore.
Nor do I need to see your
Rainbows.
