Because he asked

HeartfullyFallen

It's been so long since I've had someone to care about me,
I'm so used to caring about others and getting nothing in return
like an apple tree slowly filling it worms.
Everyone takes and takes and I give,
slowly becoming rotten to the core
giving dying Apples.
And you're the first one in many harvests to spary the pesticide and water the tree.
So, thank you for that.
Thank you for helping my branches be strong again
and I'm sorry that I can't give the good apples again
Because the worms and bees still cluster around me
and I'm having an allergic reaction to the pesticide.
How do I love you without loving you?
How can I let anyone love me when I dont?
What's a friend and how do I have one?
You told me you love me,
youve said quite a bit,
and I've barley said it back...

But I'll sign it.
Point to me,
cross my arms over my chest,
and point to you.
I love you.
But I can't say it.
When I think the words, the allergies kick in and I choke so my arms take over...
branches cracking and apples falling
but they cross and I smile.
Point to me, cross my arms point to you.
I love you. I love you.
What do I mean though?
Do I love you or am I in love with you?
I point to me, I cross my arms, and point to you.
You know the answer
I wish I knew more sign language,
cause I keep choking on my words and it's making me studder again
and I hate my studder but
I-I-I love you
Kinda of a lot.

  • Comment from author about the poem: It's not the best. But this is really all because my crush asked me to, he said to make sound like I don't love him though... which I obviously did a bad job at. But anyways, I hope you like it

It can be tough to re-learn how to love after a chain of bad loves. Many have been there, and some do re-surface on the sea of love to sail away in love when it's the last thing they ever expected. Great write Fallen.
