The Optimist in Me

Accidental Poet

 

My goal

To smile everyday

Even on days I’m down

To find a smile someway

 

To see the positive side

Of all situations

To find something good

In all God’s creations

 

Rain falls

And flowers grow

At storm’s end

A beautiful rainbow

 

Up before the Sun

Cause I’m a working man

I’ll earn my paycheck

‘Cause that’s the way I am

 

Even a traffic jam

Has an up side

For music on my radio

Makes for a Rock & Roll ride

 

And there will be times

When things won’t go my way

I’ll just make the best of it

Carry on anyway

 

Even my words here

Someone might disagree

That’s ok, it’s their right

And that’s the optimist in me

          Thanks Christina, I have my down days too, but I try to not let it keep me down for too long. Fall of the horse, gotta get right back up and try again.
