In Stasis

Alex Arnot

I'm bound within a stasis

Frozen here in awkward silence

Do I extend my hand or remain faceless,

To a friendly face that's strewn with violence?

I can't reach if I can't see you

I'm told it's best to look away

And you won't reach cause you don't see truth.

And I might drive myself insane

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've found myself in a rather awkward situation and I don't really know what to do about it. I wrote this to try and ease my mind a bit.
