Helianthus

Simple-Man87

My beautiful Helianthus

Your beauty radiates like rays of sunshine

Of all the vases between us

You chose mine.

Fed a steady diet of kindness and care

A little bit of patience to allow the bloom

Worth every bit to see your pedals flare

Your soft glow, illuminating the room.

You stand tall and shadow flowers around

The attraction you emit borders divine

Reaching for the sky while stuck in the ground

Your arrangement, a flawless design.

Holding Close to my heart, this life we've built

Mi Angelical Girasol, Mi Amor

Together forever, beyond the day we wilt

Every second of every day am I to adore.

Beautiful poem about a sunflower! Very descriptive and lovely. Great job!

Thank you Christina. Kind of you read.

Ahh sunflower! *Looks up Helianthus*. I sort of guessed - Helios = Sun. A fine write SM. Conveys comfort in seeing the beauty of the flower.
We have amaryllis. Big bulbs, dead for part of the year, then spring to life. Long green leaves with large red flowers.

Sounds beautiful, Orchidee. Thank you for the read. It's also about a woman. Her favourite flower is a sunflower.

Simple-Man, I do like the metaphor of the sunflower! Your beautiful poem is very tender, with emotion between the lines. Kudos!
