Anxiety, depressions distant cousin that it feels obligated to bring when it’s come to live inside your mind. It’ll find a way to make you feel as though you’re drowning, like you’re drowning, but…... you’re not swimming. It’s almost as if you’re drowning but you’re not swimming, and everyone is watching you gasp for air wondering what is wrong with you, and why you look as though you can’t stand on your own two feet. Like your whole body is shaking, as if an earthquake has just happened but it has only affected your body and not the earth on which you’re standing on. Like the whole room is spinning when you’re standing still in one place. Like your mind is constantly jumping from subject to subject but at the same time you’re thinking about absolutely nothing. Anxiety, depressions distant cousin that it brings to live in your mind. You, you are not your anxiety. It will not last forever. Just take a moment to close your eyes and take a deep breath, and just know everything will be fine.
