Mother

Netashi

  • I don’t remember my first memories when I arrived

I just remember looking at you and knowing you gave me life

  • You took care of me and loved me above and beyond

And you gave me somewhere to live and love and belong

  • You gave me a father, a sister and brothers

And I can happily say we love each other

  • Even though you are not told

Everyone knows you have a heart of gold

  • You are loving kind and smart

And I wish we were never ever apart

  • But I know one day you will die

When that day comes I will endlessly cry

  • But I am thankful you are here now

I can talk to you whenever I’m sad or down

  • When you’re tired and old I’ll take care of you because you’re not a bother

I am forever grateful for having you as my mother

This warms my heart as a
    mom and as a daughter!
At this stage of my life,
    I’m my mom’s caregiver!
I do it with all my heart!
    I love her dearly!
    Thank you for your
    beautiful write!
