When I Breath.

kevin browne

When I breathe I breathe to find
This way, a way to being kind
The shoes I wear they're wearing thin
And I dig my soul out the Earth
Earth, it brings me rain, a rain that hurts
And I dig, I dig for hope, a hope of worth
And I try, I try to see the way it could be
I share, I share with someone like you
Which sees me through, through this world
Everything that shows a sign, a sign of life
The world teaches how to teach, to teach us right
Feel the love, the love forsaken and it's broken
This life, there's only one so don't get it taken
Dust, it's in my eyes and the tears are flowing
Shadows have fallen on some darkened nights
Hearts where tears well up, die and start again
Explosions caught me out when this time began
Stay with me heartache the girl who always loved me
Hurt red-handed with a dozen red roses in my heart
So I kiss, I kiss the ground for rejoicing in us
Belief is belief so believe in yourself and try
Trust is the glory and the glory days are here
Remain the same with the remaining intentions
And incredible questions always asking why?
And were dancin' together underneath a shelter
Where life may flourish, flourish extraordinarily
Friendships develop melodies from rivers bursting
And if you need a friend, take a friend that feels
In times of sun, we can run and turn the heat up
That in which is given, given for gracious love
Suddenly, I mean suddenly it's alright, its alright
Paying a cost of thought, a thought that lasts forever
I'll catch your tears, I'll touch your hearts fire
Cartwheels carried courage down Springfield way
Have the sack, don't look back another era arrives
Of love, give in I do in knowing the dynamics of it
Flights of birds without a song to sing today
Prayers resolve the confidence in Gods trust we say
A single man, a single woman and a single child
Laced togetherness closing in around their politeness
Death is superior to living by taking on the dangers
I cradle the cradle which sways from everyone's heart
I witness this with no illusions having created eternity
I sing a song, I write the words that have never spoken
I defend you I work for you and there sure are reasons
You lift the flame, you play the game and you win again
You desire, your on fire and the bucket of water is filled
You take control, you take it in and start the philosophy
You share your love, you live your life and start to win
Complications, unintentional, my soul begins to rise
It goes like this, another day that plays away for God
No ending here the future where? forget the wrong
Just sing this song
"I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah".

You did your best, and you did touch, it did not go wrong, what you did was to create a masterpiece of composition. Great writing Kevin.

'You share your love, you live your life and start to win'....what is winning here is your writing, Kevin

you're a very magic man, FredPeyer, who I have so much admiration for, it blows the roof off. I am happy you like it as I am very aware how you love to read poetry with intensity and I respect that also. thank you.

Yours here is a writing style that I am familiar with and quite fond of: the repetition of words and use of them for their multiple but distinct meanings. A fun way to express the subject matter at hand I think - going for internal rhymes too I see. I also appreciate your spiritual references to the greatest muse of all; if we will only surrender to his Will!

I am learning to write Poetry. GEG. and in different formats also. I love the way this poem turned out. I had to put some effort into this one but I think it holds its own weight. I think the muse fitted in well as well. thank you for your observations throughout. you have helped me a great deal.
