SILENCE

kaychee

When you look me straight in my eyes
You can't lie to me
That's why your lips are my favourite
They spit out exactly what I love to hear

But now the problem is
I've listened to you too long
And heartbreak is one of the side effects of swallowing your lies.

You met me broken
You lifted me
And dropped me
Just to shatter me further
To ensure I couldn't be put back together

Suddenly whatever it is that comes out of that hole made to decorate your face
Does not move me
It sounds like the breeze that whistles on the shores of the coast
Meaningless, ignorant, useless...

And whenever I wait for your actions to speak
The silence becomes deafening
